      Hartpury College of Further Education is a leading sports and land-based residential college, which has been, graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2018. The overall effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the 16-19 study programmes all received the highest grade from Ofsted.

       

      We are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic and self-motivated lecturer who will teach and tutor across our BTEC Level 3 Physical Education and Coaching, Sports Science and Fitness programmes. You will also be expected to deliver a recreational sports club one afternoon per week to enrich the student experience.

       

      You will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy all aspects of sport, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

       

      The successful candidate will hold or be working towards a teaching qualification. You will also have strong communication and administrative capabilities. Experience of delivering Sport within the further education sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

      We have an opportunity for a Student Livery Supervisor to join our dedicated and highly motivated team. The Student Livery Supervisor will take a key role in supporting Senior Management and the Yard Team in the supervision of student liveries, educating them to ensure that high standards of horse welfare, behaviour and yard management associated with the equine centre are maintained. We require a team player who has the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students and maintain our professional standards. The role will also assist in creating an atmosphere where student liveries feel welcome and enjoy their time on the yard.

      The successful candidate will support the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager to ensure that Hartpury fulfils all of its statutory duties with regard to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, working with both internal teams and external agencies. You will provide practical support and assistance to staff raising concerns as well as delivering training workshops and awareness raising sessions.

       

      You will possess at least a Safeguarding Level 3 qualification and have extensive experience of working with young people in an education setting. You will also have experience of managing a demanding case load and working with external agencies. You will be passionate about supporting young people to succeed and overcome challenges and have the ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.

You will work as part of a busy team in Hartpury’s kitchen, venues and cafes across the campus. Delivering excellent customer service, you will assist with the preparation of meals, food service, dish washing, general cleaning and other tasks associated with catering.

       

      A Food Hygiene Certificate is required, however, Hartpury will fund and organise this training, should you not currently hold this.       A position in the Hartpury Equine Further Education team has arisen for a full time Equine Lecturer, to teach students on a variety of Further Education horse management courses, and predominantly the science units.  The role will involve tutoring a group of Level 3 Horse Management students, as well as teaching both theory and practical BTEC horse management units at level 3.

       

      We are looking for a team player who is highly motivated and forward thinking, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching, which will assist students to achieve excellent results. You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy all aspects of equine and science, instilling in them a passion for the subjects and a desire to develop their understanding.

       

      You will need to be qualified at degree level within an equine related subject and hold a minimum qualification of BHS Stage 2 Teach, but Stage 3 Coach / BHSAI preferable. A teaching qualification and experience in delivering BTEC qualifications would be a distinct advantage.

      We are looking to recruit a Work Placement Tutor who has excellent knowledge of the Land-Based sector, specifically Agriculture and/or Animal Management. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, student focused and have strong interpersonal skills. The role will primarily consist of working closely with the academic team, visiting employers to carry out pre-placement health and safety checks, as well as visiting students whilst on their placement to complete progress reviews and liaising with employers both face-to-face and on the phone.

       

      The successful candidate will be required to hold a full UK manual driving licence and access to their own car, have excellent administration and planning skills and will have the ability to forge excellent working relationships with external partners and industry. Experience of working with young people would be desirable.
