      We are looking to recruit an outstanding A-level Maths Lecturer who is highly motivated, student focused and has strong interpersonal skills to join the A-level department. You will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy mathematics, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

       

      The successful candidate will hold or be working towards a teaching qualification and have experience of delivering A-level Maths. Teaching delivery will be over 2 or 3 working days (dependent on timetabling).

      We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in animal therapy and/or welfare to complement our existing team, which has strong relationships across a range of animal industries, academic institutions, sport, animal charities, and the equine and veterinary sectors.  

      You will have previous experience of teaching in Higher Education in a relevant subject area. You will also demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and promoting a positive student experience, with a collegiate approach to working. You will enable students to maximise their potential through access to inspirational, research-informed and applied teaching and learning. You will support the development of graduate attributes to enable them to succeed in the animal sector.

      You will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification and will also demonstrate a willingness to develop a record of practice and scholarship aligned to the focus of the Animal Welfare Research and Knowledge Exchange Arena.

      Our eating outlets provide a service to our students during term time and to visitors and guests during holiday periods. You will work as part of our busy catering team in Hartpury’s kitchen and eating outlets across the campus. Delivering excellent customer service, you will assist with the preparation of meals, food service, dish and utensil washing, general cleaning and other tasks associated with catering.

       

      A flexible approach to your working hours is required as you will be working 5 days over 7 with one hour unpaid break each day, which includes weekend and shift work between the hours of 7.00am – 9.00pm. Throughout the year there will be events and functions taking place across Hartpury, which within your role you will be required to support. Many of these events will be at weekends, so you will be expected to be flexible, as it may require a change to your working pattern, in order to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at these events. In return we offer free meals whilst on duty, free car parking and uniform.  A Food Hygiene Certificate is required, however, Hartpury will fund and organise this training, should you not currently hold this.

       

      There is access to both public and Hartpury transport on site, this guarantees travel to and from the Campus to Gloucester in line with catering working patterns.

Managing a small team, you will be responsible for the academic and learning support services of our Achievement and Success Centre (ASC) which offers 1:1 tutorials, group delivery and online/blended learning activities for our 1800 higher education students. You will coordinate in-house staff development activities including the annual Teaching and Learning conference and lead on Higher Education Academy (HEA) fellowship applications. You will also be required to deliver sessions as required on topics such as critical reading and writing, dissertation formatting and time management and to teach undergraduate and postgraduate research methods modules.
