      We are looking to recruit an outstanding Agricultural Engineer who is highly motivated, student focused and has strong interpersonal skills to join the Agriculture Department. You will be expected to deliver both practical and theory sessions to Level 3 learners studying towards BTEC and IMI qualifications.   You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy all aspects of agriculture, workshop based fabrication skills, machine maintenance and principles of operation, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding. You will be based at Home Farm and will be required to deliver and assess land-based units as well as being a course tutor for a group of students.

       

      The successful candidate will hold or be required to work towards a teaching qualification. You will also be a strong team player, have excellent administration skills and demonstrate a willingness to engage with external partners and industry. Ideally you will possess an appropriate degree and be able to demonstrate a range of practical skills. Experience of delivering Engineering Units within the Further Education sector is desirable.

      You will be joining our Agriculture Department, where the team is passionate about the development and delivery of our agriculture programmes.       You will either be an experienced lecturer, able to deliver across our agriculture portfolio at undergraduate level, or you will have extensive experience in the agricultural sector and be seeking a transition into education. The role entails lecturing, module leadership, student support and programme management. You will have, or be willing to undertake, a relevant postgraduate qualification. A background in livestock production, livestock science and husbandry, agricultural technologies or general farm management is required alongside relevant research experience gained in academia or industry.  A teaching qualification is desirable, but candidates without this will be supported to achieve it within their first two years in post.       We are looking for an outstanding individual with experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the field of sport and exercise nutrition. The successful candidate will have an understanding of module leadership requirements and have demonstrated a track record for supporting a high quality student experience. Alongside this, we are looking for an individual who will be confident to deliver in associated sport science disciplines, specifically exercise physiology, in both classroom and applied laboratory environments across levels 4 to 6.

      The successful candidate will possess a relevant sport and exercise nutrition/dietetics postgraduate qualification, and will be highly motivated and committed to sustained excellence. Ideally, you will SENr practitioner registration (or equivalent), or be currently working towards this. Higher level study such as a PhD would be a distinct advantage. A record of active research and knowledge exchange is welcomed, as is applied practitioner experience. 

      Hartpury University has recently invested heavily within its sport and exercise science provision including the construction of a brand new Sports Academy comprising of a new human performance laboratory, a biomechanics laboratory and sports therapy and rehabilitation facilities. The university also boasts a teaching kitchen utilised extensively by the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Nutrition programme. The successful candidate will therefore be expected to develop student teaching and learning experiences that make the most of these facilities and in doing so bring theory and practice together symbiotically.

      We are looking to recruit a part-time permanent Business Studies Lecturer who will teach across three of our Further Education provisions.  The successful candidate will teach one day a week in our A-level department (teaching part of the A-level Business specification), one day a week in our FE Equine department (teaching the business units to our BTEC Equine students) and another day a week within our Access to Higher Education department (teaching Business Studies and Research Methods units to our Access to HE students).  This is a varied role where the successful candidate will make a positive impact to students across a number of our subject areas. 

       

      The successful candidate will be highly motivated, student focused and have strong interpersonal skills. They will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. They will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy Business Studies, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

       

      The candidate will hold or be working towards a teaching qualification and ideally have experience of delivering Business Studies at A-level/BTEC level 3 or above. Teaching delivery will be over 3 working days.

      An opportunity has arisen for an energetic and organised individual to work within the Information Systems team. To lead on the development and implementation of robust controls and procedures, with the purpose of ensuring compliance with audit requirements and contract requirements of funding agencies as well as internal policies and procedures.

       

      The successful candidate will have a very good working knowledge of the Funding Rules and Regulations that apply to 16-18 year olds, Adults, Apprenticeships and Higher Education learners. Alongside knowledge of these regulations, the post holder will be familiar with ILR specifications and operation including the use of related software such as FIS and PDSATs.

       

      Good communication skills are essential as is the ability work to deadlines, solve complex problems, maintain high levels of accuracy and have a customer focused approach to colleagues throughout the organisation.

       

      The Audit & Compliance Analyst will also work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Information Systems in managing the process of External Funding Audit, therefore, experience in this area of work is highly desirable.

      In this role, you will lead on projects and activities to support our Teaching and Research Excellence strategy. Managing a small team, you will be responsible for the academic and learning support services of our Achievement and Success Centre (ASC) which offers 1:1 tutorials, group delivery and online/blended learning activities for our 1800 higher education students. You will coordinate in-house staff development activities including the annual Teaching and Learning conference and lead on Higher Education Academy (HEA) fellowship applications.       We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the field of strength and conditioning. The successful candidate will have experience of applied strength and conditioning practice, together with the required expertise to deliver specialist modules that link theoretical concepts to applied contexts in the area of strength and conditioning. Furthermore, they will have the ability to support delivery across a range of modules which have a sport and exercise physiology underpinning.

      Experience of programme leadership and making a positive contribution to student outcomes is a distinct advantage, as is a record of active research, knowledge exchange and PhD supervision experience. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, have module leadership experience and a willingness to engage with external partners and industry. Our university sports department has strong relationships with a number of industry partners, for example, the Hartpury Sports Academy, Gloucester Rugby, British Weight Lifting, and as such, you be will expected to ensure that sports students have access to excellent vocational experiences to enrich their learning.

       

      The successful candidate will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification and demonstrate a willingness to develop a record of practice and research in strength and conditioning at Hartpury University. The successful candidate will also possess UKSCA or NSCA accreditation.
