      You will be required to run exam sessions, working to ensure that all candidates are able to perform to the best of their ability. This role has flexible hours and could fit around other commitments.  There is also opportunity to provide specialist examination support for which further details are available upon request.

       About the Role

       

      This is a great opportunity for an experienced academic to contribute to the dynamic progression of the University’s student experience at one of the UK’s leading specialist education providers.  In this role, you will lead on projects and activities to support an outstanding university student experience.  Projects would initially focus on student voice, retention, engagement and induction.  This would involve working across academic and professional staff teams and it is important you have established skills in working in collaboration with staff who you may not line manage, positively influencing and bringing them with us through effective change leadership.  The role will also involve line management.  The ability to consult, suggest change and implement plans and monitor and reflect on their success is critical.

       

      This is an academic post and you will also be required to contribute to teaching and learning, with approximately 0.4 of the post assigned to module delivery.  The role reports directly to the Pro-Vice Chancellor and sits on our Higher Education Executive Committee and Academic Board.  It will give insight to the running of a University, providing an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, with drive and commitment to make a difference.

      ·       You will manage a team of Learning Support Assistants, supervising the referral process for Additional Learning Support in a timely and sensitive manner.

      ·       You will arrange the deployment of staff in class to ensure that the support needs of students with SEND and those with EHCP’s are met.

      ·       You will manage the support provision for EHCP students and review their EHCP’s outcomes in line with the SEND code of practice.

      ·       For new EHCP and SEND learners you will develop a transition plan where appropriate including Initial Assessments and Exam Access Arrangement Assessments when necessary.

      About the Role

       

      This is an out of hours Duty Warden Operation providing 24/7 cover to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Hartpury’s staff, students and visitors. As a member of the Duty Warden team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, including the lockdown of Hartpury facilities and campus patrols providing a visible presence on site. You will also provide pastoral support to our residential students dealing empathetically and sensitively with student concerns. You will have the presence and authority to handle incidents in accordance with Hartpury procedures.

       

      About You

       

      With an understanding of Safeguarding issues, you should have experience of dealing with young people and the ability to cope with out-of-hours incidents. Working as part of the Duty Warden team, you will have knowledge of health and safety and an awareness of security operations. Experience of working within a residential environment is desirable as well as a current SIA Licence.

       

      You will be working an average of 40 hours per week on a rolling rota basis of four nights on, four nights off. Shift hours will be 1900 - 0600.
