Over 3700 full time Further and Higher Education students study at our attractive rural campus in Gloucestershire. 

       

      You will be a responsible and reliable Exam Invigilator who will form part of our Exams team, working with us on a flexible basis during examination periods. You will be required to run exam sessions, working to ensure that all candidates are supervised and their individual needs catered for during each exam. You should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; the ability to handle situations in a calm and logical manner and to work independently as well as part of a team while supporting and taking direction from the Examinations Officer – you might be a retired professional, a recent graduate or just looking to supplement your income.

       

      This role has flexible hours and could fit around other commitments. There is also opportunity to provide specialist examination support for which further details are available upon request. Full training will be provided.

      Hartpury University and Hartpury College are among the UK’s leading specialist education providers in agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing.

       

      Hartpury’s commercial yard enables students to gain a wealth of practical and work experience in all aspects of horse care and management. It features stabling for 230 horses, including 125 boxes for student livery. Facilities also include two horse walkers, four indoor schools, three outdoor schools, limited turnout and a non-slip trot-up.

       

      You will support the Equine Department in providing an outstanding and safe experience for students, commercial users and ensure a high standard of horse welfare. The role supports the Equine Team in the day to day running of the Equine Unit, assisting with the supervision of students whilst undertaking practical tasks and supervising student liveries. The post holder will also be part of our team hosting and assisting with the running of International Equine Events and commercial bookings throughout the year.

       

      We require a team player who has the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students and maintain our professional standards. The successful applicant will be provided with the opportunity to work towards improving and developing their riding ability within two staff development lessons per week. The accommodation comprises of a single occupancy double bedroom within a shared recently refurbished farmhouse situated on-site. Facilities include a large communal living room, kitchen and garden with parking. A pre-paid meal card is provided for use at food outlets around the campus.

You will have notable experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the field of sport psychology.       You will have a sports psychology postgraduate qualification and ideally, you will either be a BPS or BASES accredited practitioner or be currently working towards this. A key task will be to develop the student led Common Room Committee providing support and guidance. The post holder will also be expected to work during the first 2 weekends at the start of each academic year to support the residential induction process.

       

      You will have experience of working in a one to one or small group capacity with young people including those with emotional and social difficulties. You will have the ability to work flexibly with a positive & proactive outlook and have outstanding communication skills.

      This varied and interesting role focusses on providing advice to our University students through our dedicated telephone, e-mail and face-to-face support systems and updating web-based student guidance.  We offer face-to-face support from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday, during term time.  As such this role allows the opportunity for working in evenings and at weekends and includes time not working during Monday to Friday school and office hours.

       

      Responsibilities will also include supporting a number of meetings, maintaining our student records and helping to produce student assessments.  The successful candidate will also be required to respond to requests for student information from staff and external bodies in line with the Data Protection Act.

       

      You will have previous experience working within a busy customer focused administrative role and working with higher education.  Candidates must be computer literate, organised, be able to work both as members of a team and as an individual, and communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.

      Using your knowledge of the sector, you will develop Hartpury’s international marketing resources; Working with colleagues in-house and managing external agencies, you will deliver persuasive web and social media content, printed materials and digital advertising platforms.   

       

      You will lead an annual calendar of targeted international student recruitment activity, including overseas recruitment fairs, industry exhibitions/shows, and developing productive relationships with schools, colleges, universities and partner organisations.

       

      This role is predominantly based in the UK at Hartpury University and College, but will involve some overseas travel, during which staff are expected to work flexibly including weekends and evenings.
