      Supporting higher education programme delivery, you will be a highly enthusiastic and professional RCVS Registered Small Animal Veterinary Nurse and also the holder of an undergraduate qualification. You will be joining a highly motivated team, committed to the highest quality of teaching and learning, informed by research and scholarly activity.

       

      As a Junior Lecturer you will receive extensive support in developing skills in teaching and tutoring of students, across all years of university level delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and engage in student tutorials, as well as Veterinary Nursing Training Practice visits, to quality assure and provide support to our Training Practices as well as our VN Higher Education placements. 

       

      You will demonstrate strong communication, organisation and administrative skills and have a desire to be active in the development of the programmes delivered. Teaching and or Veterinary Nursing assessing/coaching experience is desirable but not essential as Hartpury operates an extensive staff development programme.

      You will lead and manage specific Strength and Conditioning training and have experience of leading and delivering a Strength and Conditioning programme in an elite and high performing environment. You will work closely with the Head of Strength and Conditioning in this role.

      You will support lecturing staff in the delivery of programmes of learning and related assessment to students undertaking vocational Engineering and Farm Mechanisation courses. You will inspire students to appreciate and enjoy all aspects of agriculture, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding. Responsibilities will extend to Hartpury’s workshops, maintenance of tractors and agricultural implements and the purchasing of associated consumables.

       

      Ideally you will possess an agricultural qualification and a range of skills and knowledge relevant to your area of expertise in Agricultural Engineering. You will also be a strong team player, have excellent administration skills and demonstrate a willingness to engage with external partners and industry.
