      Hartpury University and Hartpury College is one of the UK’s leading sports and land based residential providers.  It has become one of the largest in the sector with outstanding teaching and sporting facilities. Over 3700 full time Further and Higher Education students study at our attractive rural campus in Gloucestershire. 

       

      You will be a responsible and reliable Exam Invigilator who will form part of our Exams team, working with us on a flexible basis during examination periods. You will be required to run exam sessions, working to ensure that all candidates are supervised and their individual needs catered for during each exam. You should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; the ability to handle situations in a calm and logical manner and to work independently as well as part of a team while supporting and taking direction from the Examinations Officer – you might be a retired professional, a recent graduate or just looking to supplement your income.

       

      This role has flexible hours and could fit around other commitments. There is also opportunity to provide specialist examination support for which further details are available upon request. Full training will be provided.

      With significant experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the field of sports coaching/physical education, you will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and be able to demonstrate a willingness to continue to develop your record of practice and scholarship. You will add significant value to our pedagogy curriculum and offer evidence of high quality teaching and learning experiences and research and knowledge exchange activities. Experience of supervising level 8 research will be a distinct advantage.

       

      You should be able to demonstrate your positive impact on this in your application. You will aim for continuous improvement of the student experience and have the skills and experience to contribute to potential postgraduate curriculum development. You will need to have a clear appreciation of the connectivity between theory and practice, and be able to foster industry partnerships to promote this. We pride ourselves on preparing our coaching and physical education students to be highly skilled and research-informed practitioners and we expect you to offer evidence of such standards in your own practice.
