      About the Role

       

      Accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, there are now over 250 students studying within a bespoke Veterinary Nursing Centre.  As a result of the growth in student numbers and future plans, we are looking to recruit one additional member to join the current team through one of the following posts, dependent upon experience.

       

      An appointment at Junior Lecturer level will receive extensive support in developing skills in teaching and tutoring of students, across all years of university level delivery. Teaching and or Veterinary Nursing assessing/coaching experience is desirable but not essential as Hartpury operates an extensive staff development programme. 

       

      The successful candidate will be expected to teach and engage in student tutorials, as well as Veterinary Nursing Training Practice visits, to quality assure and provide support to our Training Practices as well as our VN Higher Education placements. 

       

      About You

       

      ·         Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to complete one within two years of appointment

      ·         Be highly motivated with a commitment to the highest quality of teaching and learning

      ·         You will possess a degree in the relevant subject area, with MSc/PhD/MA being desirable

      ·         Supporting higher education programme delivery, you will be highly enthusiastic and professional RCVS Registered Small Animal Veterinary Nurse

      ·         Have postgraduate/industry experience within the subject field, with research practice being advantageous

      Working in the Information Systems office, you will be working on a number of high profile customer-facing projects developing and integrating a range of systems using Hartpury’s core MIS tools, web services and APIs to support the delivery of student focussed services.

      ·         You will be an enthusiastic, proactive and hardworking professional.

      ·         You will have preferably have a degree or equivalent experience in software engineering that has been used to develop web based apps and services using software development lifecycle tools within an environment of ASP.net and C#.

      ·         You will be comfortable working flexibly in an agile oriented development environment, to a high degree of accuracy and within tight deadlines.

      ·         You will have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.

      ·         Administration of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and the local government pension scheme. This includes producing accurate and timely returns each month

      ·         Collation and input of weekly timesheets

      ·         Assist with outside bodies such as HMRC to ensure compliance at all times

      ·         Entering employee amendments including starters, leavers, bank detail changes, personal data, ad hoc payments/deductions, tax record amendments etc. on the payroll system

      ·         Regular data validation to ensure accuracy of records
