      About the Role

       

      • This is a key role within the Digital Services team focused on delivering insight and analysis to senior partners across Hartpury University, focusing on internal and external data.
      • You will use a range of techniques and tools across a variety of data sources to create value added information which will be used to inform internal and external reporting, support key decision-making processes and guide business planning.
      • This is a highly varied job, working across multiple areas of activity, and acting as supplier to internal and external data customers.
      • As a data and information specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking important coordination, data extraction, and validation to support the compilation of the wider statutory reporting requirements.   

       

      About You

       

      • You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of data reporting, the demands of working in a complex HE environment and the skills necessary to operate successfully across University and departmental boundaries. 
      • You will have high levels of personal credibility and the intellectual capacity to offer imaginative and compelling solutions to statutory reporting issues.
      • You will be heavily involved in developing new and innovative systems including business intelligence strategies that supports all aspects of the organisation.  
      • Experience of working in a data related role within the Higher Education Sector is essential.

      About the Role

       

      We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic professional with a passion for learning technology to our Blended Learning Team, initially on a 1-year, fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to provide expert advice and guidance to academic colleagues and business support staff to develop their understanding and creative use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment across our College and University provisions. Experience of working within the education sector is essential.

       

      The enhancement of learning technology is already a strategic focus of Hartpury University and Hartpury College through our Digital Strategy and following the unprecedented impact of Covid-19 the Blended Learning Team has a key role to play in supporting the continued delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment for all students. The 2020/21 academic year will see Hartpury adopt a mixed-delivery model for both the College and University. This blended learning approach will combine traditional face-to-face teaching (in line with Government guidelines) with access to online sessions and distance learning content and resources.

      About the Role

       

      ·       This is an exciting opportunity to join Hartpury as we develop our vision for Hartpury Animal as the go-to destination for animal related activities. With an extensive growing animal collection, we provide a high standard of animal resource for all animal related practical activity serving the curriculum and industry skills needs, of both university and college students.

       

      ·       You will be responsible for the care of the animals within the collection, maintaining the high standard of presentation of facilities and the planning and delivery of practical teaching are the core elements of this position. You will assist and support the day-to-day running of the Animal Collection as directed by the Animal Collection Manager and will directly supervise student groups during the practical learning experience, supporting safe practice and the development of professional standards for an outstanding student experience.

       

      About You

       

      • You will have previous practical experience within the animal industry or an animal establishment with an excellent understanding of best husbandry practices for a variety of domestic and exotic species.
      • You should demonstrate a sound knowledge of animal welfare standards and legislation
      • You will be confident in handling and working around wide variety of animal species and competently apply this to practical teaching delivery.
      • You will have an understanding of the education environment with a motivation to inspire learners to be highly employable through completion of the Hartpury Certificate and achievement of excellent results.
      • You will hold a teaching qualification or have a willingness to complete one.

      About the Role

       

      You will be joining the Department of Animal and Agriculture, as we look to enhance our provision in animal and canine training. We are starting two new exciting undergraduate degree programmes and are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the subject area and passionate about teaching who can contribute specialist knowledge of this sector. Candidates who are in current professional practice are particularly encouraged to apply.
